Back to Xbox Bonus Discs

Been a great couple weeks of thrifting, have so much to share with you all, will get more up soon. Today I wanted to get back to my bonus disc obsession.

First Up I found a Playstation 2 game that donated it's bonus disc to it's Xbox 360 brethren.

 Ghost Recon
I bought it for both the bonus disc and the Playstation 2 double disc case

Here's the bonus disc in it's new 360 game case home

Next I saw this with no game disc

 Bioshock Limited Edition
Bonus & Soundtrack Discs

And with my personal game disc

Speaking of Bioshock picked this up for $7.00 at a Pawn Shop

 Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition
Bioshock & Bioshock 2 with Bonus Discs
I will have to see if the bonus disc for Bioshock is the same as the one with the limited edition

From the Dead Rising 2 "Zombrex" Edition
And in it's new home case

And from my favorite Salvation Army a $2.99 pickup

 Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition
 Steelbook, Comic and Art Book
No game discs, but I already have those from my standard edition
The bonus disc is there, which is really all I cared about
And in the 3 disc case from the Rage game I picked up a few blogs ago

Lots more to come, as it has been a GREAT last 3 weeks at the Thrift stores!

Another Update on my Faux Xbox One "Elite" Controller

So be cause I cannot leave well enough alone,
I decided I needed to mess around with my favorite Xbox One controller some more.

I was on eBay (who me?) and came across a different set of the removable thumbsticks in Black.

I prefer my controllers be as blacked out as possible, so of course I had to get this

I also figured as long as I was going to be taking apart the controller again, that I wanted to replace the home button with a blacked out one as well.

All controllers should have this one

Now to go in and change the shell itself, or the thumbsticks, not a big deal at all.
To go in and change buttons, that is a whole other animal, and I do not look forward to having to do that ever again, well at least until I find the appropriate blacked out buttons for this controller......

My Precious!

Xbox 360 HD DVD Player

For some reason, I have wanted to add one of these to my collection since I found out about them. just cause. Then a couple weeks ago I walked into my favorite Salvation Army and found a few (8) HD DVD's so figured it was about time to get a hold of one.

The Xbox 360 HD DVD Player is an accessory for the Xbox 360 console.
Microsoft offered the drive for sale between November 2006 and February 2008

So I came across an HD DVD player in the box, and it came with a few HD DVD's as well.

Arrived in box in nice shape
And when I flipped it to the side to open it
It was still factory sealed!

The ad had stated never played, but you know I thought yeah sure, I was wrong.

Everything looks new

The pack in, in my opinion a great movie

Install Disc

The actual player

sealed accessories

The remote

Matched the design of the Xbox 360 model at the time
Even has a hole for a paperclip, just in case, like the original Xbox had.

It has the spot to clip the wireless adapter to and 2 USB slots (to make up for the player using one)

NOTE: Xbox 360's did not have wireless internet built into them until the "S" model revision

So now that we have had a good look at it, time to test it out.
And what better movie than one of my personal favorites and an american comedy classic!

Coming to America

The HD DVD Drive will work with any model Xbox 360, I am using it with my "E" Model

Works Great, and of course after I ordered the player, I had to buy a couple large lots of HD DVD's.

At the time of this blog I am still waiting for a lot of 19 with some great movies.

Then while doing a little research, I found:

Special black versions of the drive, along with black media remotes, were given to members of the Xbox 360 HD DVD development team. Unlike other black accessories which were created alongside the black Elite console, the black HD DVD drive was never made available to the general public

I WANT ONE!

But I can only imagine if I could actually find one, that it would be well out of my price range......

More Xbox 360 Game Pickups

Been having a lot of good luck at the thrift stores the last few weeks, and scored a few more games for my ever growing Xbox 360 collection!

And here is what I picked up

Telltales The Walking Dead

Telltales The Walking Dead Season 2
Looks to be a former Red Box Rental

 Prototype 2
Missing the Manual

Rage Bought for the 3 Disc case

Injustice Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

 Left 4 Dead 2
Bought to replace my "ringed" copy

Apparently someone (*cough* my middle daughter *cough*) must have bumped their Xbox while playing the game and put the death ring scratch on my original copy, Kids.....  My youngest daughter also recently did so to my copy of Driver San Francisco, need to find another copy of that as well.

Lord of the Rings War in the North

 Darksiders II Limited Edition

Some more great pickups, have something really cool for the Blog, something I have been wanting.
