Well Packed NES Game Purchase

I decided I wanted to play an NES game from my youth, that I remember enjoying. So while on my nostalgia trip, I hopped on eBay, and found it in the 5 Screw variant. (I personally like the look of the 5 screw NES games, and plan on getting them all) Along with another game for $6.00 shipped, figured I couldn't pass up on that deal.

I was surprised at how well packed this item was, and just thought I would share. My first thought on seeing the box on the table was "wow that's a big box for 2 NES games" Then I opened it, saw how well it was packed, and got out my phone for some pictures.

What I saw after first opening

Then I fished around in the packing peanuts to find my prize, even more well packed!

Saran wrapped tightly together to avoid scratching, nice.

And my Prize. Rush 'N Attack was the one I was surfing eBay for, never played Cabal.

I figure since they did such a good job, I would plug their eBay store for anyone interested.

Half Price Books Video Game Pickups

Today was Half Price Books Infamous 50% off your highest priced item coupon. My Fiancee and I headed on over to the Local Half Price Books, and Picked up a few games, and of course books, we read alot.

I only picked up 2 games, but they were ones I had been looking for. They did have Knuckles Chaotix for the Sega 32X, but were asking $90.00, Yeah NO, not even at half off would I pay that much.

Anyway, onto my pickups..... Both were Half Off, both my Fiancee and I checked out separately.

Need for Speed Most Wanted Black Edition

 Sega Genesis Collection for PSP

Aero the Acro-Bat for Sega Genesis

I picked up one of my favorite games for the Sega Genesis. I have my top 6 for the console (Road Rash 1, 2 & 3, Shining Force 1 & 2 and Shining in the Darkness), this would be #7.

Aero the Acrobat. I have had this game for the Super Nintendo for awhile, but it just isn't the same. Me and a friend used to play this for hours at a time back on the Genesis in the early 90's.

I have been on the lookout for this game, since reacquiring a Sega Genesis a couple years ago. Picked this Great Condition, Complete copy up off eBay for $11.00 Shipped.

Did a quick gameplay video on my YouTube channel

I highly recommend this game, great great fun, even 25 years later. Now, I recently found out there is an Aero the Acrobat 2, Gonna have to be on the lookout for that as well.

Getaway Weekend Video Game Pickups

My Fiancee and I decided to take some time off work and go to the resort for a few days last week, and on the way back, since we were about 2 hours south of home, she though it would be fun to hit up some thrift stores. Made a few finds, and had a great time with my baby!

First stop, a Salvation Army in a little town. Picked up a couple PS2 Games, $3.99 each.

Armored Core 2 and Armored Core 2 Another Age, Both Complete and in Nice Shape

At Goodwill, Picked up a few things for current gen consoles, Both Factory Sealed.

Picked this up for our 5 Year Old, She loves it, She is playing as I type this.

My Fiancee Loves the Rabbids Games, This one plays like Mario Party, Lots of Fun!

Then we stopped at few more Goodwills, a Savers and some misc thrift stores we saw along the way, at one Goodwill I managed to pick this up for $2.00.
Nice pickup for my music collection, Godsmacks 1000 HP. I only have listened to it once, need a few more play throughs to give an opinion.

Before we left, I said I hope to find some Sega Stuff, I don't see Sega stuff out Game Hunting very often, so was very excited for the next few finds.

At a misc thrift store, I saw this in the case for $6.50. A little more than I would spend for a "sports game", however Boxing can be fun and they happened to have 50% off Pink tags, which this was!
Muhammad Ali Heavyweight Boxing for the Genesis, in Great Shape.
No manual though :(

Next stop was at Toyriffic in Maplewood, MN. Been here before, their prices can be hit or miss, nice guy runs the store though and enjoy going in and looking around and talking to him.

Cosmic Carnage for the 32X

Double Switch for the Sega CD, $4.99

Last stop of the day was a Half Price Books half a block from Toyriffic, Just 1 Pickup.

Saw this once a looong time ago, watched it when we got home, still a good movie.

More to Come!

More Video Game Pickups

Couple misc video game pickups this last week

Made a quick stop at Goodwill on the way home from work one night, and picked up a couple games.
Trauma Center Second Opinion for the Wii

Guitar Hero Live for the Xbox 360. I do want to get this game, but on the Xbox One. And I double checked after finding this, there was No Guitar Controller to be found in the whole store. Just gonna flip it, The Game by itself sells for around $20-25.00 on eBay, then I will buy the Xbox One version, New with Guitar for myself.

I had some Money from eBay sales burning a hole in my virtual Pay Pal pocket and was perusing auctions for complete Sega Genesis games, and I found one I had to have.

Fatal Labyrinth, Complete and in Great Shape, $9.00 Shipped

Also got some more misc artwork I needed for a couple games from the place I order from.

Artwork for the PS3 Rainbow Six Vegas 2 I Picked up back in October at Salvation Army for a Buck , it already had the disc and Manual in great shape, in a Generic Gamestop case/art.

Sega Genesis Home Alone, I picked up the Cartridge last week, Still need a Manual though.

Home in their cases. I know I have an extra Clear PS3 case around here somewhere.....

Gamestop is doing a promotion for the Doom game coming out in May, with some collectors cards.

I had forgotten to go for the February card until the 29th, so we went to the local Gamestop and while we were there my daughter asked if we had to come back tomorrow (March 1st) for the March card? The guy said Nope, here ya go, and gave us that one too.

I plan on buying the Collectors Edition of this game when it comes out 5/13/16, and these will go with it nicely.

I love Doom, one of my absolute favorite game franchises. I remember playing the original on my Buddies Packard Bell 286 Computer back in the early 90's, and have been a fan ever since.
