Quick Sega Saturn Pickup

Was out for another job interview, and thought I would swing into the nearby Half Price Books and check out their clearance rack and found a complete Sega Saturn Game.

It is very rare to find complete Sega Saturn games out n about, especially in Great Condition.

Yeah it's a sports game, but the Case is in GREAT shape, And that's worth $3.00 all day. 

I am going to use the back to replace my Saturn Road Rash case, and the Front my copy of Cliffhanger for the Sega CD. That's the downfall of the cases for those systems, they break wayyy toooo easily.

Video Game Magazine Ads

I was going through some mid 2000's Rolling Stone Magazines, and saw these old Video Games Ads, I thought they were kinda cool and thought I would share them here with all of you.

I must have been just buying games by the time this ad was printed, I don't remember paying more  than $3.00 to rent games from Blockbuster.

Gun, I have never played this game. If I ever come across it cheap for the 360, I will give it a try.

Time Crisis II for the Playstation II (see what I did there?). "will you be cryin' When the bullets start flyin' ? Cool lil tagline.

Grant Theft Auto Vice City, Oh how many hours I spent playing there.

Perfect Dark Zero, one of the games I got shortly after getting my 360.  One thing I remember about this game, I was playing Multiplayer one night, and this other player kept going to the same spot over and over, I must of killed him 10-12 times before I got bored and went elsewhere on the map. 

My Pro Tip of the Day: If you are going to snipe, don't go to or stay in the same spot. It just makes you an easy kill. When I am playing a sniper, I will get 2-3 kills from a spot, then move. Always keep them guessing.

PSP UMD Pickup & My Current UMD Collection

My daughters and I swung into a Goodwill, I picked up a few DVDs and, another PSP UMD Video.

It was $1.99, I wouldn't call it a must own, it's an ok movie I have seen once, maybe twice. I really just bought it cause it was a Buck Ninety Nine and I have been on a UMD Movie Kick lately.

I say currently sealed because we have a 3 hour drive tomorrow to go up north to a funeral, and I haven't seen the Fog, so that's getting opened. And I plan to open and watch all of these eventually.

When I bought my PSP lot off Craigslist a few years back, it did come with a Loose UMD of The Karate Kid remake. I got rid of it because 1. I only want complete PSP UMD Movies and 2. That movie was ABSOLUTE TOTAL FUCKING GARBAGE!

Pimp My Playstation 2 Case

I had a job interview today near my favorite Salvation Army, so I couldn't NOT go in.

They didn't have much in the way of games I was interested in, but the did have LOTS of Sports Games for PS2, Original Xbox and Xbox 360.

I did manage to find this for .99 though

I was a fan of the show, and figured fer a buck, why  not?

The case however was beyond saving

Ouch. 

Despite the damage to the case, the Manual and Disc were in great shape. The artwork has a little chunk missing, on the top right by the PS Logo, but nothing that you really notice.

 And here is why I have lots of extra cases laying around, Good as New!

My Tip of the Day: When I see empty cases at the thrift store, I ask if I can buy them. Most of the time they will just let me have them for nothing. I did get charged .49 once for a Sega Genesis Case, but would pay that all day for a nice Genesis case so...... 

Yet Another Douchebag eBay Seller

I have been using eBay for almost 20 years. I got my first computer in 1998, and almost immediately stumbled upon eBay. I only have had one issue in the past, not getting an item, NOR did I get refunded. That was about 2005 I believe?

Anyway, I again tried to get a Hackers PSP UMD, and again I got hosed by the seller. Just like I blogged about HERE. Twice on the same item?

UGH Maybe I am not supposed to have it. I mean, I do already have the DVD and the 20th Anniversary Blu Ray. But, I don't have the UMD and I want one Dammit!

So on a Saturday I made an offer of $4.50 shipped (Seller was asking $5.99), seller accepted the next morning (Sunday) and I got a shipped notice on the following day (Monday). Cool. Finally I was getting one of the UMD's I am really after.

But fast forward 3 days to Thursday, I get an email from eBay stating the seller cancelled the transaction? I also got a message from the seller as well stating "So sorry, I already sold this item and mistakenly relisted it. I even printed out the shipping and didn't realize until I couldn't find the item. Again, very sorry" He did immediately refund me as well, but still........

Douchebag, How do you not know, especially when I made an offer and you had to check and approve it? I know what I have on eBay, and if I have it or not. Oh well, I got to give him his second Negative, at least there is some way to vent my displeasure. However the other negative feedback he got was for the same thing, Again he had cancelled the order stating it was unavailable according to the feedback. What a disorganized ASS.

Xbox One Pickups

Got a couple other things for my Xbox One.

Turtle Beach headsets are very nice for playing First Person shooters. It allows you to tell where a person is walking from, rear left, front right, etc... And allows you to hear way more in the game (Like your "brass" hitting the ground and Grenades rolling around) than just the TV speakers. I have a set I used all the time when playing my Xbox 360, and love them, I highly recommend them.

Last weekend My Wife decided I needed a new set for my Xbox One.

Ear Force XO Four Stealth Heasdset

They are very nice and comfortable. I like the detachable mic. My 360 headset had a permanent mic. Most of the time, I play just wanting to hear the game in Multiplayer, too many Inconsiderate or just plain Jackasses. And I rarely need a mic, but occasionally I do play with friends (no really, I have a few friends on Xbox Live) and can plug in the Mic to play and communicate then.

And, I was perusing Craigslist and saw this the same day at a local Pawn Shop for $20.00, and figured what better way to break in my new headset? So we popped over and grabbed it.

I was not a Battlefield fan after playing the travesty that was Battlefield 4. that game was just sooo  broken. Then Battlefield Hardline came out, and I realized why. The developers were so busy playing Pay Day 2 (Fun Game as well), that Battlefield 4 suffered. Then they decided to make their own version, Hardline.

But, back in early March there was a free to play weekend for Battlefield 1, and I downloaded and played some Campaign and Multiplayer, and Battlefield 1 is a Really Good Game! I really enjoy it. Glad to see Dice was able to get back on track, I recommend it.

Matter of a fact, I think I am going to wrap up this vlog, and go play!

Forza Controller Stand

I was perusing eBay (no, Not me...) and I came across this cool little controller stand.

There were a bunch with Buy It Nows and Best offers, I got one for $7.00 shipped.

The Controller skin is pretty cool, I will probably use it if I ever get a plain controller. But I have my Forza Motorsport 6 Controller, a Special Forces (Silver, Black, Gray) Controller and my Wifes Dawn Shadow Controller.
