Months of Video Game Pickups

It's been a few months since I had any Game Pickups, Got married in June, and just haven't been out much since. I have made some purchases and even trades, thought it was about time I got them up here. Can't believe how busy I have been, Oh and I had my gall bladder removed last week too.

Been playing A LOT of Forza Motorsport 5 & 6, I want to finish both of them before the end of the year.

Anyway, onto the finds/trades/pickups. I don't remember what specific order I got all this in, but it all has been since early July through last week, and hey you all are just here to see them anyway, so order don't matter.

First, the Xbox One Games:

From my daughter for Fathers Day, Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition

The Mega Man Legacy Collection $15.00 Brand New!

$19.99 @Walmart my 5 year old loves the Infinity games & Star Wars!

Got Vader for myself

My wife got me this for my birthday Doom Collectors Edition!

I did a complete unboxing Blog of this Click Here

And from Amazon, Forza Horizon 2

A few Xbox 360 Games

Tomb Raider Anniversary
Complete and in Great Shape, $10.00 Shipped off eBay

Assassin's Creed Rogue
Complete & in Great Shape, $7.50 Shipped off eBay

I realized I did not have this game, I have all the other Assassin's Creed games for the 360, so my impulsive behavior decided I needed it. I am still stuck on II, but needed this to have them all for the 360, I will get to it one day, till then they are all together on the shelf.

And a 1.99 Salvation Army Pickup from last week
 Rayman Arena for Playstation 2
Complete and in Great Shape

I made a trade for some misc games I had with another local guy and nabbed these.
Army Men 3D & Classic Intellivision Collection for the Playstation
Star Wars, Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic 2 (Already had) for the Game Gear

And Continuing with my favorites, some Sega Pickups!

Every year the city of Ramsey has a "Ramsey Days" deal with a carnival, car show, etc. and they also have a swap meet/flea market area. There is a guy who goes and always gives very fair trade credit, this will be my 3rd year going. And I traded in what extra stuff I had laying around, and picked up these Sega Games.

 Revolution X for the Genesis
Complete and in Great Shape

 Grid Runner for the Saturn
Complete and in Good Shape

And a couple Dreamcast Titles
Sega Smashpack Volume 1 & Sega Bass Fishing
Both Complete & in Great Shape

Now I can use that Dreamcast Fishing Rod Controller I got from Goodwill for .99 Last Year.

I figured I would take a bunch of pictures of my unboxing, and share them here.

Directions for the Statue

Steelbook!

Steelbook Contents

Not much of one, but at least it HAS a Manual

Logo in the Styrofoam, wasn't expecting that, Neat Touch!

First Glimpse of the Statue, Very Nicely Detailed.

The fan in the base turns, and the red L.E.D.'s Light up, very coool

And, as I have mentioned before, I love collecting Steelbooks, but I prefer to have a regular case to keep the game on the game shelf with. As I also mentioned, Gamestop was giving away free Doom Collector Cards in the 4 months (1 per month) leading up to the release of Doom.

Gamestop also decided to give out free Doom artwork after the release as well
my daughter snagged one for me.

The side I am going to use

3 TB Upgrade for my Xbox One

The time came, I had filled up my 1 TB HD that came in my Forza Motorsport 6 Edition Xbox One.

I remember I never had a problem with the HD in my original Xbox, which I still use to play Xbox Original games today.

It took 3 years to fill the 20 GB HD in my first Xbox 360 (really my second, my first was returned to Best Buy right outta the box as it had the E74 error) , which I bought in February 2007.

I then purchased a 120 GB Xbox 360 Elite to replace the 20 GB Pro model that was having overheating issues in March 2010 (after having the RROD "fixed" in June of 2009).

I then found myself deleting things off the 120 GB HD, to make space. So that was later replaced in December of 2014 with a 500 GB Xbox 360 E (after the disc tray stopped working on the Elite), which is only half full as of now, even with downloading the free games with gold.

The 1 TB HD in my Xbox One, filled up in 9 months. Only 9 months to fill up a 1TB HD? Wow. I had 99.9% full when I had to download a Halo 5 Update, I ended up having to Delete some free Games with Gold game I hadn't played, just to get an Update?

So as it turns out, the next weekend, my wonderful Daughter and her Boyfriend, had gotten my wife and I a 3 TB WD My Book for the Xbox One as our wedding gift.

It was a straight Plug and Play deal, it only took 2 minutes to format, and was ready to go.
I decided to decorate it with a sticker from my Forza 5 Collectors Edition.

I also recently found myself really wanting to play Skyrim and Bioshock 2, which were on the 360. I had moved the 360 into the other room, and hooked it to the 27" flat screen in there, when we got the Wii U. We only have 2 HDMI inputs on the 55" flatscreen in the living room, and since I was playing my Xbox One most of the time, I just decided to move the 360.

Well who the hell wants to play on a 27" TV when they can play on a 55" TV? Not I!

After doing a little research, and not wanting to spend a ton of money on a HDMI adapter/splitter thingie and more cables, I found that I am able to hook the 360 TO the One, and play the 360 through the One. There is a HDMI input on the Xbox One, which was meant for a TV signal but the 360 signal works the same anyhow, just use the One Guide app on the Xbox One, and boom, Playing my 360 on/through the Xbox One.

And I keep the External HD stored right close to the systems

So, I loaded up some Bioshock 2, played for a while. When I went to save, I saw my last game save was from Oct 2010. Wow almost 6 years later to get back to a great game. I really need to finish it up.

The real kicker is, which I found out after all this, is that both Skyrim and the Bioshock games are getting HD remakes and are releasing this fall for the Xbox One (and PS4, but who gives a shit), I will be repurchasing these. Kind of Ironic, I wanted to play these, went through all that rearranging and what not, and now they are getting redone for the One, wow.

Video Game Pickups 6/22/16 Edition

Have made a few Misc Pickups over the last month or so. Not out much, as I am getting married next week, and have a reception to pay for. Anyway, on to the Pickups!

End of April and Early May picked up the last 2 Free Doom Cards from Gamestop

Complete Set of 4

And another pickup from my daughter, she picked these up at a thrift store, and they were 1/2 off that day and ended up being $2.00/$2.50. We still enjoy playing lots of Rock Band and Guitar Hero, F the Haters!
2 Gutiar Hero Microphones, We had 2 Rock Band ones already, but cannot have enough extras!

And a Forced Gamestop Pickup (See my Fuck Gamestop Rant HERE)

 $5 n Change for Both

Red Steel for the Wii

Crysis 3 for the Xbox 360

And speaking of 360 games, I popped into a Goodwill 2 weeks ago? And picked this one up.
 Heroes Over Europe
Complete and in Great Shape

And I was going through my Ridge Racer Games, and Realized I did not have one of them. So, being the impulsive person I am, I immediately went to eBay, and found me a nice, clean, complete copy.

Rage Racer
Complete and In Brand New Condition!

I remember renting this back in the 90's and my brother and I played for hours. This is the first game I remember, where you were able to customize and decorate your car.

The sellers items included free shipping, I paid $8.00 for Rage Racer and figured I might as well look at what else he had, and picked up this for $4.00.

F-15 Strike Eagle III for the Sega Genesis
Manual is missing the cover, but it included the poster

And while we are on the subject of Sega Genesis Games. I got a game and case I needed from a great You Tuber, Cory from Collecting with Cory. Check him out!

I was watching one of his Pickup Videos, and saw he had these extra, and I offered to buy them from him, but he just sent them to me, Awesome, Thanks Cory!

Cyborg Justice, another game my Brother and I used to play

And a case for a game I had Cartridge only.
World of Illusion

And with my Cartridge snugly in it's new home

And this past weekend, I also picked up a couple new T-shirts
