Hello! Been a few weeks, I'll be honest between Still unpacking my new place 6 months in.........My daughters 11th Birthday, and I have actually been playing a lot of games lately, I have been Lazy in updating my blog. I apologize to you all, and hope to get back on track here soon. Gameroom is coming along nicely, I have rearrranged several times, and still don't have it in a "leave it like this for now" State yet.
Anyway, while out sourcing items last week at the thrift, I came across a couple things I had to pickup.
First, I found my favorite sports game I like to buy. Yes this is the one sports game I always pickup IF it is the right version.

Now you may be asking, since I do not care about or play sports games, Why oh why would I get excited about and pickup multiple copies of this particular basketball game?
Becasue if it has this printed on the cover
Itmeans it has the PS2 Double Disc Case!
And the best part, when I checked, it was missing both the Game and Music CD discs.
So, the nice lady at Goodwill gave it to me for Free!
And while there I also came across an actual PS2 game I did not have

Even had 2 of the 3 Atari stickers that originally came with it
The next few were eBay pickups
When I saw one of these online, I knew I had to find a copy for myself

Now this is how all bonus disc games should be labeled.
But, that still wouldn't stop careless or clueless eBay sellers from listing them as complete with just the Case, Game Disc and Manual.
Complete in double disc case
A quick story about this particular item. I was being cheap, I do not have as much disposable income working for myself as I did working for someone else, but I am happier. Anyway, The seller had this listed auction style for $14.00 opening bid with $5.00 shipping, and also had a $25.00 Buy It Now option, Well, I really didn't want to pay $30.00 so, I watched the auction and after it did not sell and the seller renewed it twice, I shot them a message offering $10.00 + $5.00 shipping.
The seller replied back that they had to have $15.00 for it, and relisted the auction with a $8.00 opening bid, $5.00 Shipping with a $15.00 Buy It Now. Well, me being me decided to wait the 7 days to the auction end, and there had been no other bids. I did what I usually do, and submit my bid on the auction within the last 10 seconds. I put in $11.11 for my high bid, in case someone else did the same (it has happened) and ended up winning it for the $8.00 opening bid, with $5.00 shipping. Guess they shoulda sold it to me when I offered $10.00.
Well, I am guessing the seller was kind of irritated as this was on a Tuesday afternoon, and they waited until Friday to ship it out, Most sellers have a 3 day handling clause. I ship same day or next morning (not counting Sunday of course) since the post office is right down the street from my place and is a 5-6 minute round trip.
And this last item was a weird random find. I was going through a big box of CD's a friend brought me to sell for them, and told me to go ahead and keep any I wanted. As I was going through them, I saw this one, and saw the Playstation Logo on it.
Then I saw the Naughty Dog and Crash Banditcoot logos as well?
Looks like a Music Promo CD? Never heard of ro seen one of these before
All it had to identify it is the CSK 8738 number
So off to Google I went and searched the CSK 8738 number. Turns out it was a give away for Crash Bandicoot Pre-Orders. I guess I don't remember them doing Pre-Orders back then? The first game I remember with a Pre-Order (and Yes I Pre-Ordered it) was Halo 2 in the mid 2000's.
Anyway, since it was given out with Crash Bandicoot.......
What better home for it then in a double disc case
With Crash Bandicoot!
