Months of Video Game Pickups

It's been a few months since I had any Game Pickups, Got married in June, and just haven't been out much since. I have made some purchases and even trades, thought it was about time I got them up here. Can't believe how busy I have been, Oh and I had my gall bladder removed last week too.

Been playing A LOT of Forza Motorsport 5 & 6, I want to finish both of them before the end of the year.

Anyway, onto the finds/trades/pickups. I don't remember what specific order I got all this in, but it all has been since early July through last week, and hey you all are just here to see them anyway, so order don't matter.

First, the Xbox One Games:

From my daughter for Fathers Day, Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition

The Mega Man Legacy Collection $15.00 Brand New!

$19.99 @Walmart my 5 year old loves the Infinity games & Star Wars!

Got Vader for myself

My wife got me this for my birthday Doom Collectors Edition!

I did a complete unboxing Blog of this Click Here

And from Amazon, Forza Horizon 2

A few Xbox 360 Games

Tomb Raider Anniversary
Complete and in Great Shape, $10.00 Shipped off eBay

Assassin's Creed Rogue
Complete & in Great Shape, $7.50 Shipped off eBay

I realized I did not have this game, I have all the other Assassin's Creed games for the 360, so my impulsive behavior decided I needed it. I am still stuck on II, but needed this to have them all for the 360, I will get to it one day, till then they are all together on the shelf.

And a 1.99 Salvation Army Pickup from last week
 Rayman Arena for Playstation 2
Complete and in Great Shape

I made a trade for some misc games I had with another local guy and nabbed these.
Army Men 3D & Classic Intellivision Collection for the Playstation
Star Wars, Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic 2 (Already had) for the Game Gear

And Continuing with my favorites, some Sega Pickups!

Every year the city of Ramsey has a "Ramsey Days" deal with a carnival, car show, etc. and they also have a swap meet/flea market area. There is a guy who goes and always gives very fair trade credit, this will be my 3rd year going. And I traded in what extra stuff I had laying around, and picked up these Sega Games.

 Revolution X for the Genesis
Complete and in Great Shape

 Grid Runner for the Saturn
Complete and in Good Shape

And a couple Dreamcast Titles
Sega Smashpack Volume 1 & Sega Bass Fishing
Both Complete & in Great Shape

Now I can use that Dreamcast Fishing Rod Controller I got from Goodwill for .99 Last Year.

Metallica Concert 8/20/16

My first memories of listening to Metallica are from High School in the late 80's. My buddy and I  (he was 2 years older than me) used to cruise around in his mothers 1969 Dodge Polara Custom 4 Door, with a 440 V8, not that it made it fast, the thing was Huuuuge, it needed a motor that big to move it. Anyway, of course being that old, it was equipped with a factory 8 track player, so we had a "Boom Box" on the middle of the front bench seat, where we would crank Metallica's Master of Puppets Cassette over and over and over again.

Now I have been to alot of concerts, and seen alot of bands, my first concert was the Clash of the Titans concert featuring Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Other concerts included White Zombie, Deftones, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Overkill, Disturbed and of course Pantera, which my friends and I saw 20-30 times throughout the 90's.

But, I had never seen Metallica live. Until August 20th this year. My Daugther and her Boyfriend bought me a ticket for my birthday (Which is August 12th). The concert sold out in 10 minutes!

The openers were Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold (who I had seen previously with my daughter at the Disturbed concert in 2010).

Here is a picture of the stage from our seats when we first arrived.

My daughter got us some tasty Bacon Cheese Curds to eat, and damn if they weren't filling. I had 3-4 and was stuffed for the rest of the night, then my wife had 2 the next day as did my 5 year old.

This is a pic from when Avenged Sevenfold was playing

Volbeat I had never heard before, kind of a bluegrassy/metal mix, not bad. Avenged Sevenfold put on a pretty good show as well, I do wish they had done their Pantera Cover of Walk though. The stadium sounded pretty good, and with the large screens on either side of the stage, the view was fine too.

Then, when Metallica hit the stage, and the place fucking exploded! They played harder and louder then the previous 2 bands, with both the pyrotechnics and crowd Exploding!

They put on an Absolutely Incredible Show, Completely Amazing. On the news it was said the concert could be heard 3 miles away!

They are touring next year supporting their new album, and my daughter, her boyfriend and I will be there!

Here is a link to a good video I found on You Tube, of course it is no where near the same as having been there.
